2012 4 on 4 Spring League Rules
Meramec Sharks Hockey Club
1. Game slots will be 45 minutes. There will be 2 separate games played back to back and then there will be
an ice make. The game clock will be dropped to 2 minutes when 40 minutes of game slot time has been used.
2. All three periods will be run time, and will be 12 minutes in duration. There will be a 3 minute warm-up, and
the clock will only be stopped for PENALTIES and SERIOUS INJURIES. If games are ahead of schedule, we will
start the next game early.
3. Score sheets are the responsibility of the HOME TEAM, and must be turned in within 48 hours of the game,
if there is a missing or improperly filled out score sheet. The home team will take a forfeit.
4. All MINOR penalties will result in a penalty shot. MAJOR penalties, such as checking from behind, will result
in a penalty shot and the offending player sitting the appropriate time. A game misconduct will result in an
additional game misconduct and possible further disciplinary action by Director of Spring Programs and MHC
BOD. If a coach is ejected from a game for any reason, that coach will be removed from the team for the
remainder of the session and possibly face further disciplinary action from the Spring Director, Coaching
Director, and MHC BOD.
5. All other USA HOCKEY RULES apply.
6. Please remember the goal of this league is to let the players have FUN in a RELAXED environment!!! This
format is designed for the players to move the puck and be creative.
