Inductee Announcement
The MIHOA board and officers has been diligently working to improve the education aspect
of our association.  We are utilizing the Shadow/Mentor, Open House and Equipment Loan
programs to support our newer officials.  Another need that is now being addressed is the
evaluation of referees.  Therefore, the MIHOA is creating a new position within the
association, which will be that of Evaluation Coordinator.  Applications will be accepted
through July 31, 2015 with interviews taking place in August.  It is our intention to have the
candidate selected for this position by September 1st.  If you are interested or know of
someone that would like to apply, please send applications in resume format to Bob
Howenstein ( with a copy to Don Arias (

While evaluations are important for all officials, the development and retention of our
younger members is paramount to the long-term viability of MIHOA and hockey in the St.
Louis area.  A link is shown below that will connect you with a file that is a  basic
description of this position with more information available upon request.
